The first invitations to those covered by phase 5 of the vaccination campaign will be sent out this week (week 14).

As already announced, following the decision of the Government Council of 29 January, the people concerned are residents aged 55 - 64, starting with the oldest (phase 5a), as well as people that may be at increased risk due to a pre-existing health condition (phase 5b).

The increased risks include:

• Controlled diabetes, without complications
• Uncomplicated arterial hypertension
• Obesity (body mass index 30-40 kg/m2)
• Pregnancy

La pandémie du Covid-19 affecte la société et le système de santé de diverses manières. Qui aura un accès prioritaire aux produits rares? Quels groupes de personnes sont particulièrement à risque, ont besoin d'une protection spéciale et les vaccinations sont-elles prioritaires? De notre point de vue, il est compréhensible que les politiciens et les responsables des ministères et des autorités décident de ces questions principalement en fonction du critère où résident les plus grands risques de graves dommages aux patients et le fonctionnement du système de santé.

La Patiente Vertriedung asbl se réjouit que l'introduction du Nutri-score devient de plus en plus concret, la Patiente Vertriedung Asbl demande depuis 2017 que le Nutri-score, soit introduit au Luxembourg :

Les autorités compétentes de Belgique, France, Allemagne, Luxembourg, Pays-Bas, Espagne et Suisse annoncent la mise en place d'un mécanisme de coordination transnational pour faciliter l'utilisation de l'étiquetage nutritionnel Nutri-Score sur la face avant des emballages. Cette coopération se fera au sein d'un comité de pilotage et d'un comité scientifique.

Monatelang hat man den Menschen mit der Impfung Hoffnung gemacht – aber keine Planungen getroffen. Täglich wenden sich unzählige Menschen an ihre Ärztinnen und Ärzte, und an die Patiente Vertriedung Asbl, um Informationen zu erhalten. Viele sind richtig verzweifelt. Für die Patiente Vertriedung Asbl ist es höchste Zeit, dass die Regierung – über drei Wochen nach den ersten Covid-Impfungen – der Bevölkerung einen Fahrplan nennt, zu welchem Zeitpunkt welche Kategorie an Menschen geimpft wird.

WHO’s Strategic Advisory Group of Experts on Immunization (SAGE) has issued its policy recommendations for the rollout of  the first COVID-19 vaccine approved for emergency use, the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine.

According to SAGE, the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 mRNA vaccine is safe and effective. Nevertheless, there are specific populations for whom vaccination is not recommended, either due to contraindications, lack of supply, or limited data. These populations currently include people with a history of severe allergies, most pregnant women, international travellers who are not part of a prioritized group, and children under 16.

The priority is to start vaccinating health workers at high risk of exposure, followed by older adults, before immunizing the rest of the population.
